Harry Closes Out ESBK Supersport Season With Points In Catalunya

Harry Khouri’s maiden ESBK Supersport season is over, and the talented Aussie is already looking ahead to 2024 after rounding out the year with another points scoring result in Catalunya.

The Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona circuit was the venue for the final round of the 2023 season, with Harry relishing the opportunity to race at one of Spain’s most iconic circuits.

Improving steadily through free practice the #34 Andotrans Team Torrento Yamaha rider went faster still in qualifying, despite a spill, giving himself a real chance of a double points scoring finish in the weekend’s double header.

Race one on Saturday was an intense affair with Harry involved in a race long battle that saw him cross the line fourteenth to add another two championship points to his tally. He finished seventeenth on Sunday.

With his family trackside 2023 ended with a smile and Harry can look back positively at his achievements which saw him battle for the top ten more than once.

He will announce his 2024 plans in due course.

“It was a mixed weekend, and I was a little on the backfoot as I never tested at Catalunya, so it was a new track for me. We had an issue on Thursday afternoon and then it rained on Friday which cut short track time and made it harder than usual to learn the track at speed. That said and all things considered we came away with two solid finishes to end the year. I made life a bit difficult for myself with a small crash in qualifying which put me back in twenty-first on the grid for the two races, but it is what it is. I moved forward in both races, and I can go into the off season with a lot of things to reflect on. I am happy with what I’ve achieved and what I have learned. There has been ups and downs, but we can head into the winter with a clear objective for 2024. I want to thank the team, my sponsors, my family, and everyone who supports me.
