ESBK Points On The Board For Harry Khouri At Aragon

 In News

Harry Khouri leaves the second round of the ESBK Supersport championship at Motorland Aragon with his first top fifteen finish of the year, and confidence that he can take to the upcoming rounds.

Following his debut in the series at Jerez a fortnight ago, Harry was looking forward to making progress, something he did from the outset. Running inside the top fifteen he qualified a more than respectable thirteenth before finishing the opening fourteen lap race in P14 after an epic battle saw him fighting for ninth!

Sunday’s second race started well but a crash six laps in put paid to any chance of a second points scoring finish in as many days. Despite the DNF, Harry’s adaptation to Supersport is impressive and he continues to make great strides each time he rides.

He will now take the time until Round 3, held at Valencia in mid-May, to continue his off-track training, ensuring he arrives in Southern Spain ready to once again fight.

Harry Khouri:

“I achieved my best result of the year in thirteenth which was positive despite a small crash at the end of the session. Race one was tricky. I dropped to P20 but was able to fight through the field and battle for ninth. I finished P14 which all things considered wasn’t too bad. It was a disappointing way to end what had been a positive weekend. Me and two other riders crashed out on liquid, maybe oil or water we aren’t too sure, and I am honestly really frustrated because I felt strong and had made a good step from Jerez. We were fighting for the top ten in both races, but we have a few weeks off and a test before Round 3 and I will be ready to give it my all when it’s time to go racing again. I want to thank the team for their hard work. I can’t wait to get back out on track.”
