Harry Khouri Shows WorldSSP300 Potential In Spain
Harry Khouri heads to the TT Circuit Assen in a fortnight confident of an FIM Supersport 300 World Championship points scoring finish after narrowly missing the top fifteen in yesterday’s second race at MotorLand Aragon.
Khouri, who is in second full season of #WorldSSP300 competition, rode a strong race on Sunday after crashing out on the opening lap of the first race of the year on Saturday.
The weekend began with a two-day test at the Spanish venue and saw the #43 top FP1 in extremely wintry conditions. Steadily building throughout the week the Team 109 Kawasaki rider was unlucky to go down in the early stages of the opening race of the season. He showed true Aussie grit to finish seventeenth on Sunday, after battling for fourteenth throughout the twelve-lap encounter.
Harry Khouri:
“A crash in race one and a none point scoring on Sunday wasn’t the way I wanted to start the season at Aragon but looking back on the weekend, I don’t think it was a complete right off. We learned a lot during the two-day test and during the race weekend proper and I know I have a great bunch of guys around me and a great bike underneath me. I am looking forward to heading Assen, one of my favourite tracks and to getting some points on the board.”
